What is DID?

DID is a Direct Inward Dialing (DID) phone service that allows phone calls to route directly to a phone or device without the need to dial an extension number. Multiple DID numbers can be routed to a single voice trunk and is used by businesses to provide a local direct inward dial number for voice service as well as other applications including video conferencing, fax, and dial-up. DID providers offer a number of handoff types including VOIP DID, ISDN PRI, and DID Trunks. DID service is also known as VOIP DID, PRI DID, Local DID, Direct Inward Dial, or DID Trunks.
